About the Subscriptions

Dear Flower Friend,

Bouquet Subscriptions are so much more than just enjoying flowers in your home every week.

McCullough Flower Farm is a small, woman-owned, family-run business, and I’m proud to be at the forefront of the increasingly popular local flower movement. Each stem you take home from the farm was grown right here in Mercer County, PA. Did you know that the overwhelming majority of flowers sold in most retail stores were grown outside of the US? Comparatively, the carbon footprint of our farm-grown flowers is miniscule.

Bouquet subscriptions are a classic example of Community Supported Agriculture (CSA): the idea that community members support their local farmers by purchasing a seasonal subscription. When buying a subscription, you are buying a share of the flowers that the farm produces that year. Your payment up front, in the off-season when income is generally low (no flowers to sell) and costs are high (I’m buying seeds and bulbs, testing soil, etc), helps to support the upcoming growing season. In return, you receive first access to the best harvests - I prioritize the premium crops for subscribers and fulfill those orders first.

By treating yourself to a bouquet subscription, you’re not just supporting a small business and local agriculture - you are practicing a sincere form of self care. And imagine what a great gift a bouquet subscription can be for a loved one - I’ve been told it’s the perfect thing for the person who has everything. Many subscribers are business owners themselves, and display their bouquets in their lobbies and waiting rooms - how lovely for their own clients and visitors to enjoy fresh, locally grown flowers, too!

At the end of the day, I’m in business to bring joy to people through our flowers. Flowers bring JOY! I planted my first dahlias and zinnias just so I could enjoy bouquets in my own home, never imagining that my flowers would eventually be enjoyed in homes all over the area. Growing these beautiful crops is a true privilege, and I am grateful for every chance to share them with you.

Here’s to sharing a little beauty and whole lot of joy,

Justine, Owner & Founder
